Application Conditions

  • The decision of the Selection Committee is final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
  • The Selection Committee may make no award if it is of the opinion that there is no appropriate candidate.
  • The Bursary is to be taken up within six months of its award.
  • The Bursary recipient, if undertaking international travel, must obtain and be responsible for his or her own passport, visas and other travel documents.
  • The Bursary allowance of up A$23,500 will be paid to the Bursary recipient in advance of their departure and the remaining A$1,500 will be paid on completion of their duties and presentation of the report at the LNP Convention.
  • Partners and family will not be permitted to travel with the Bursary recipient.
  • Bursary recipients to provide their own medical and insurance costs and ensure the necessary medical checks and vaccinations.
  • Communication costs (including mobile and email) will be at the expense of the Bursary recipient.
  • During the course of travel and during the year the Bursary recipient must contact the Enid Dowling Foundation and the Donor of the Year regularly to advise upon their experiences.
  • The Enid Dowling Foundation reserves the right in the event the recipient fails to meet the objectives, requirements and standards, to discontinue the Bursary and require a refund of all monies paid to the recipient.
  • The Bursary recipient will be required to sign a contract with the Enid Dowling Foundation prior to commencing travel containing these and other conditions.
  • The Bursary recipient must at all times conduct themselves with decency and fairness befitting the role. Inappropriate conduct may lead to discontinuation of the Bursary and a requirement to repay the funds.
