The decision of the Selection Committee is final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
The Selection Committee may make no award if it is of the opinion that there is no appropriate candidate.
The Bursary is to be taken up within six months of its award.
The Bursary recipient, if undertaking international travel, must obtain and be responsible for his or her own passport, visas and other travel documents.
The Bursary allowance of up A$23,500 will be paid to the Bursary recipient in advance of their departure and the remaining A$1,500 will be paid on completion of their duties and presentation of the report at the LNP Convention.
Partners and family will not be permitted to travel with the Bursary recipient.
Bursary recipients to provide their own medical and insurance costs and ensure the necessary medical checks and vaccinations.
Communication costs (including mobile and email) will be at the expense of the Bursary recipient.
During the course of travel and during the year the Bursary recipient must contact the Enid Dowling Foundation and the Donor of the Year regularly to advise upon their experiences.
The Enid Dowling Foundation reserves the right in the event the recipient fails to meet the objectives, requirements and standards, to discontinue the Bursary and require a refund of all monies paid to the recipient.
The Bursary recipient will be required to sign a contract with the Enid Dowling Foundation prior to commencing travel containing these and other conditions.
The Bursary recipient must at all times conduct themselves with decency and fairness befitting the role. Inappropriate conduct may lead to discontinuation of the Bursary and a requirement to repay the funds.
