The Application Process

  • The Bursary application form and accompanying documents must be fully completed, typed, signed by the applicant and submitted by email (not facsimile) by the closing date for applications, and by hard copy, which must bear a postal date prior to the close of applications.
  • The accompanying documents must be no more than five pages in length (two pages for CV, three pages for the travel and study proposal).
  • Following the application assessment and short-listing, applicants will be advised in writing of their status. Short listed applicants will be advised both by telephone and letter.
  • Finalists will be required to prepare and submit to the Selection Committee within 14 days of being advised of short-listing a detailed description of their proposed study or skill attainment experience and a schedule detailing anticipated travel costs.
  • Finalists will be advised in advance of the timing of the selection program and interviews.
  • The Enid Dowling Foundation will arrange the finalists’ travel and accommodation for the selection program and interviews. The travel arrangements are not subject to change or transfer.
  • The successful applicant will be announced during the LNP State Convention and presented with the Bursary. All finalists must attend the Convention and all events nominated by the Selection Committee.
  • The Enid Dowling Foundation, the LNP or the Donor of the Year (if appropriate) will facilitate meetings or other opportunities for the Bursary recipient.
  • Unsuccessful applicants may re-apply in subsequent years subject to meeting the selection criteria
  • The Selection Committee will be appointed annually by the Foundation.
  • Application forms and references remain the property of the Enid Dowling Foundation.
