Leaving California for Calgary

By Tasmin Trezise News No Comments

Trading sun for snow I’m leaving San Francisco, California for Calgary in Canada!

Calgary is a very QLD-like western town in the Alberta province most famous for its natural resources, beef and Calgary Stampede (touted as the worlds largest rodeo).

It is also the birthplace of Canadian Conservative PM, Steven Harper and the Conservative WildRose party.

I’ve seemed to enter Canada at a tumultuous time in politics with the Alberta premier stepping down, a left-leaning party voting against a left Ontario budget forcing an election and allegations of the Toronto mayor being caught using Crack Cocaine for the second time.

NB: I didn’t mention that it rained the day that I arrived in California. Keeping with tradition, it snowed on the day that I arrived in Calgary.
